DERBYSHIRE BRANCHES

KNIFTON is familiar name in Derbyshire, most likely a derivative of Kniveton, a small village in the county. There are two branches of the KNIFTON family tree in Derbyshire; one with origins in Horsley and the other in Chruch Gresley.
