    Mrs Hawkins head gardener’s wife of Stainsby Hall gave birth to a daughter March 30.
Apr. 2
    Mr James Harrison late coachman to E.D. Sitwell, Esquire, of Stainsby Hall died April 2nd.
May 22
    Ann wife of Mr Joseph Carrington died May 22.
June 6
    Mr Thomas Woolley framework knitter died at Smalley June 6th.
Aug. 18
    Died at Belper Aug. 18 Mr Samuel Walters repossession dealer. Universally respected. Aged 37 years.
Sep. 7
    Mr Anthony Kerry builder died Sep 7th aged 67 years. Universally respected.
    Mr Anthony Kerry of the Rose & Crown public house died aged 67. Much respected.
Sep. 21
    Selina infant daughter of William & Laura Hunt of Wood Lane died of teething Sept. 21.
    During the past fortnight ending Sept. 18 people was attacked by the English Cholera at Stainsby Hall near Smalley.
Oct. 2
    Harvest supper at Morley Hall Oct 2nd.

    Mr Joseph Harrison farmer Smalley died aged 70.

    Samuel son of Richard Henry blacksmith & Sarah his wife died aged 36 years well respected.

Joseph Moss (1801-1881) was my great-great-great-great-grandfather.
