GAME CASE.—George Knifton, a bricklayer, of Derby, was summoned by George Gregory, a gamekeeper, to Mr. Mundy, of Markeaton Hall, for trespassing in search of game, and rabbits, on Sunday morning, the 22nd April, at Markeaton.—The keeper saw the prisoner and three others come down the lane by the Windmill-lane wood, and the prisoner jumped over the hedge into the wood with a snap dog ; he ran to him and saw the dog beating, and took the prisoner as well as the dog ; he let him go when he gave his name.—Defendant denied that the dog was his ; but admitted being in the wood.—Fined 1l., and expenses 10s. 6d., or one month.
