Farmer’s funeral at Hazelwood THE funeral took place at Hazelwood Parish Church of Mr. John Curtis Knifton (82), a retired farmer, who died suddenly at his home, Rose Cottage, Windley. Mr. Knifton was born at Ashby and farmed at Brassington and Windley Hill Farm, Duffield, before he retired 23 years ago. He was a regular churchgoer and paid for electric heating systems to be installed in the churches of Brassington, Hazelwood and Turnditch. |
